Vial Concentration Calculator (mg/mL & Units)
mg per mL, mcg per unit and draw volume for lab aliquots
Type the mass printed on the vial and the volume of solvent that went into it. This page divides one by the other.
Math for lab aliquots only. Research use only.
The vial picker lists every Snowman vial, from Semaglutide 5 mg and BPC-157 5 mg up. The same division works for Tirzepatide and Retatrutide vials of any size; type the label mg in the first box.
Both boxes need a number above zero.

Rows greyed out are more than the solvent in the vial.
Draw volume for an aliquot
Fill in the vial mass, solvent volume and amount needed.
concentration = mass ÷ volume
micrograms per mL = concentration × 1000
micrograms in 0.01 mL = concentration × 10
Vial concentration questions
How do I calculate mg per mL?
Divide the milligrams printed on the vial by the millilitres of solvent added. A 5 mg vial with 2 mL of solvent is 5 / 2 = 2.5 mg/mL, which is 2,500 mcg/mL.
How many units is 0.1 mL on a U-100 syringe?
10 units. A U-100 scale has 100 marks per millilitre, so one unit is 0.01 mL, 0.1 mL is 10 units and 1 mL is 100 units.
How much is in each 0.1 mL of a 10 mg vial?
It depends on the solvent volume. With 1 mL the vial is 10 mg/mL, so 0.1 mL holds 1 mg; with 2 mL it holds 0.5 mg; with 3 mL it holds about 0.333 mg.
How many mcg are in one unit?
Multiply the concentration in mg/mL by 10. A Semaglutide 5 mg vial with 2 mL of solvent is 2.5 mg/mL, so each unit (0.01 mL) holds 25 mcg.
Does adding more solvent change how much is in the vial?
No. The total milligrams stay the same; more solvent only lowers the concentration, so each 0.01 mL mark holds less.
Peptide lots here are specified at 99% purity or higher, filled to within ±10% of the label, and guaranteed sterile and endotoxin-free. A sample from your own bench can go to Janoshik, Freedom Diagnostics or Vanguard Laboratory.
